To put it simply, we have the best counselors!
When you send your child to In the City Camp, you can rest assured that your camper will spend the day with mature, energetic counselors he or she will look up to from day one. All of our counselors are Jewish and many attend Jewish day school and/or teach Hebrew school. Several of our counselors have attended Jewish day or overnight camp themselves and want to share their positive summer experiences with our campers.
We hire rising 11th graders as junior counselors. Counselors are rising 12th graders, college students, and college-age young adults.
All counselors and junior counselors participate in interviews and connect us with references who complete candidate questionnaires. They also participate in training sessions before camp begins and attend daily and weekly staff meetings during camp.
We can’t wait for you to meet our amazing counselors! Here are some fast facts about the people your kids will be talking about all summer long.
