Sarah Benton is In the City Camp's Registration and Staffing Manager.
She is your go-to person for any questions about camper registration, payments, and changes. An In the City Camp veteran since 2014, Sarah knows camp from the inside out!
Prior to joining the In the City Camp team, Sarah worked as an elementary school teacher and elementary school librarian.
She holds a BA in Elementary Education from Lee University and a Masters in Library Science from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Sarah enjoys being a wife to her husband, Donald, and a mom to her kids, Liam and Ava.
Rachael Engler manages community relations for In the City Camp. She will also be on-site at camp this summer.
As a former camper and counselor at Habonim Camp Tavor and Camp Ramah Wisconsin, Rachael understands the power of Jewish camp firsthand.
Rachael fell in love with In the City Camp during the summer of 2015 when she worked on-site while her two kids attended as campers. She watched her children and the other campers build Jewish friendships and strengthen their Jewish identities while having a blast - just at she had done at overnight camp!
Rachael holds a BA in Special Education from Boston University. She lives in Sandy Springs with her husband and two children.
Brittany Schwartzwald, Programming Coordinator
Brittany Schwartzwald is Programming Coordinator for In the City Camp.
Brittany plans Kid Camp weekly day trips, Tween Camp weekly overnight travel, community service projects, and outreach programs. She also helps with facilities research, fundraising, and staffing.
Prior to working at In the City Camp, Brittany was an attorney at Anderson, Kill & Olick, and worked for Kaplan testing center, but her true love has always been planning outdoor adventures.
Brittany attended Westminster day camp for five years and Camp Walden, an eight-week sleep-away camp in Maine, for six years. At camp, she became a lifelong hiking and camping enthusiast. Brittany has been taking her kids on camping trips since they were infants. She loves getting outside and getting creative.
Brittany earned a marketing and management degree with a minor in art from Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a law degree from Cardozo University.
Brittany lives in Candler Park with her husband and two kids who will both attend In the City Camp this summer!
Samara Katz, Community Relations Manager and Summer Site Director
Samara (Sam) Katz is Community Relations Manager, Site Director, Song Leader, and craft extraordinaire at In the City Camp.
Samara grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Ohio University in 2010 with a B.S. in Visual Communication. She has been learning and teaching Jewish music for 12 years, and has worked as a camp counselor, Judaics teacher, Hebrew teacher, youth group advisor, and curriculum developer for students ages 5-22.
During the off-season, Samara recruits staff and campers, builds community partnerships, and plans curriculum for the summer. Samara’s favorite part of camp is creating a Jewish music culture and teaching campers how to make camp crafts like friendship bracelets and tie-dye.
When Samara isn’t at camp, she enjoys yoga, calligraphy, water color painting, and playing with her two rescue dogs.
Stefanie Gordon, Special Projects Consultant and Summer Site Director
Stefanie Gordon is Special Projects Consultant for In the City Camp.
Stefanie grew up in Delaware where she first attended day camp at the Siegel JCC in Wilmington before going to overnight camp at Camp Louise in Cascade, MD.
She earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of Delaware and an M.A. in Jewish education from New York University. She is incredibly passionate about camp, leadership, sports, and Israel! When she isn't planning talent shows and color wars, Stefanie loves teaching pilates.
Stefanie lives intown with her husband, Yoni and her Siberian Husky, Karli.
